Solidarity message with the struggle of the palestinian people

Dear comrades,

On the 29th of November there is the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” and the Secretariat of the European Communist Initiative prepared a solidarity message with the struggle of the people of Palestine.

SOLIDARITY MESSAGE WITH THE STRUGGLE OF PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the EUROPEAN COMMUNIST INITIATIVE stands with respect and honours the militants and fighters of the Palestinian people who gave their lives in the struggle against the Israeli occupation.

The EUROPEAN COMMUNIST INITIATIVE denounces the longstanding Israeli occupation that is supported by the USA, NATO and the EU.

It expresses its full internationalist solidarity with the Palestinian people, decisively denounces the slanderous attacks that characterize the struggle of the Palestinian people as “terrorism” and rejects the rationale that puts both the “perpetrator” and the “victim” on an equal footing, which is being promoted by bourgeois and opportunist forces.

We call on the working class, the peoples to strengthen their solidarity with the Palestinian people and to demand:

• The end of the Israeli occupation and the creation of an independent, viable and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital and its recognition as a UN member-state.
• The immediate withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army and settlers from Palestinian territory.
• The demolition of the unacceptable wall.
• The release of all the political prisoners who are in Israeli prisons.

The struggle for the just cause of the Palestinian people is a part of the struggles of the peoples against imperialist wars and interventions, against capitalist barbarity, for the abolition of the exploitation of man by man.
